EMF Radiation Protection Shorts
Against an EMF sticker or harmoniser
The EMF market splits cleanly into products that put material between you and a transmitter, and products that don't. Only one of those can be tested.

Our position on EMF
Whether everyday wireless exposure harms people is not settled. Large reviews have not found clear evidence of harm at consumer levels; a minority of researchers disagree; regulators set limits and keep reviewing them. We are not going to resolve that argument on a product page, and we are not going to exploit it either.
What we will do is sell shielding that is actually shielding, say which direction it works in, and leave the decision to you. If reducing your own exposure is something you want to do, you should be able to buy hardware that does what it says instead of a pendant that does nothing.
Questions
Will my phone still get signal?
Yes. These shield the body-facing side only, leaving the antenna side open. The exception is the faraday bag, which encloses the device completely and deliberately cuts it off — no signal in or out until you take it back out.
Does this block all radiation?
No, and nothing does. Shielding works in the direction the material covers. A case blocks what would have gone into your leg; it does not block the cell tower, your router, your neighbour's WiFi, or your phone when it's against your ear. Any product claiming all-round protection is misrepresenting how shielding works.
How is shielding measured?
In decibels of attenuation across a frequency range. Each 10 dB is a tenfold reduction in power, so 30 dB means roughly a thousandth of what went in comes out the other side. The figure only means something alongside the frequencies tested, which is why a number with no range attached tells you nothing.
What's the difference between RF and ELF?
RF is radio frequency — the wireless signals from cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth and 5G. ELF is extremely low frequency, which comes off batteries, power supplies and circuitry rather than antennas. They need different shielding material, which is why a product that handles both is built in layers.
Can I wash the shielded clothing?
Cold, gentle, inside out, no bleach and no fabric softener. Softener coats the conductive fibres and degrades the shielding while the garment still looks perfect. Line dry. Expect shielding performance to drop gradually with washing, as it does with any conductive textile.
Do air tube headphones sound worse?
They sound different. The driver sits at the bottom of a hollow tube rather than in your ear, so the sound travels up a column of air. Bass is lighter than a sealed in-ear monitor. For calls, podcasts and most listening it's unremarkable; for critical music listening you would notice.
Does the shielding wear out?
The laminated layers in cases and pads are stable and should last the life of the product. Textiles are the ones to watch, because washing and flexing degrade conductive fibre over time. Treat shielded apparel as a garment with a service life rather than a permanent fixture.
Is EMF actually dangerous?
Honestly: the evidence does not currently show clear harm at everyday consumer exposure levels, and a minority of researchers think the question is still open. We sell shielding to people who have decided to reduce their own exposure. We are not telling you that you need to, and we would rather say that plainly than sell you something on fear.
