Love your music, not the radiation next to your head. These air tube earbuds move sound through hollow air tubes instead of wires for the last stretch to your ears, keeping the electronics away from your head while still delivering rich, natural audio.

Why you'll love them

  • Air tube design – hollow tubes carry the sound to your ears to help reduce EMF exposure near your head.
  • Real wood housings – natural wood for warm, full sound with deep bass and crisp highs.
  • Mic & volume control – take calls and adjust volume right from the cord.
  • Comfortable, custom fit – includes foam and silicone tips in multiple sizes for all-day wear.
  • USB-C plug – works with iPhone 15 and newer, Android phones, tablets and laptops with USB-C audio.

  • Shielding is a measured quantity

Attenuation is measured in decibels across a stated frequency range. Where the manufacturer publishes those figures, they are on the page.

  • Your phone still works

These shield the side facing your body. Calls, data and WiFi are unaffected, because the antenna side stays open.

Phone sleeve material

What a shield can do, and what it can't

A shielding layer between a transmitter and your body reduces what reaches you from that direction. That is a real, measurable effect — you can put a meter either side of the fabric and read the difference. It is also the entire claim, and it is narrower than most of this industry wants you to believe.

A phone case shields the side against your leg. It does nothing about the tower down the road, the router in the hall, or your phone once you lift it to your ear. A shielded blanket covers what it covers. A faraday bag is the exception — it encloses the device completely, which is why the device also stops receiving anything, which is rather the point of a faraday bag.

Anyone selling you a sticker, a pendant or a plug-in device that 'harmonises' a whole room is selling you nothing. There is no mechanism and there is no measurement. If a product can't tell you how many decibels across which frequencies, in which direction, it isn't shielding anything.

Against an EMF sticker or harmoniser

The EMF market splits cleanly into products that put material between you and a transmitter, and products that don't. Only one of those can be tested.

  Stickers and harmonisers

Puts physical shielding material between you and the device

Attenuation measurable with a meter

States the frequency range it covers

Manufacturer publishes lab test reports

Device keeps working normally

Makes no claim about your health

Our position on EMF

Whether everyday wireless exposure harms people is not settled. Large reviews have not found clear evidence of harm at consumer levels; a minority of researchers disagree; regulators set limits and keep reviewing them. We are not going to resolve that argument on a product page, and we are not going to exploit it either.

What we will do is sell shielding that is actually shielding, say which direction it works in, and leave the decision to you. If reducing your own exposure is something you want to do, you should be able to buy hardware that does what it says instead of a pendant that does nothing.

Questions

Will my phone still get signal?

Yes. These shield the body-facing side only, leaving the antenna side open. The exception is the faraday bag, which encloses the device completely and deliberately cuts it off — no signal in or out until you take it back out.

Does this block all radiation?

No, and nothing does. Shielding works in the direction the material covers. A case blocks what would have gone into your leg; it does not block the cell tower, your router, your neighbour's WiFi, or your phone when it's against your ear. Any product claiming all-round protection is misrepresenting how shielding works.

How is shielding measured?

In decibels of attenuation across a frequency range. Each 10 dB is a tenfold reduction in power, so 30 dB means roughly a thousandth of what went in comes out the other side. The figure only means something alongside the frequencies tested, which is why a number with no range attached tells you nothing.

What's the difference between RF and ELF?

RF is radio frequency — the wireless signals from cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth and 5G. ELF is extremely low frequency, which comes off batteries, power supplies and circuitry rather than antennas. They need different shielding material, which is why a product that handles both is built in layers.

Can I wash the shielded clothing?

Cold, gentle, inside out, no bleach and no fabric softener. Softener coats the conductive fibres and degrades the shielding while the garment still looks perfect. Line dry. Expect shielding performance to drop gradually with washing, as it does with any conductive textile.

Do air tube headphones sound worse?

They sound different. The driver sits at the bottom of a hollow tube rather than in your ear, so the sound travels up a column of air. Bass is lighter than a sealed in-ear monitor. For calls, podcasts and most listening it's unremarkable; for critical music listening you would notice.

Does the shielding wear out?

The laminated layers in cases and pads are stable and should last the life of the product. Textiles are the ones to watch, because washing and flexing degrade conductive fibre over time. Treat shielded apparel as a garment with a service life rather than a permanent fixture.

Is EMF actually dangerous?

Honestly: the evidence does not currently show clear harm at everyday consumer exposure levels, and a minority of researchers think the question is still open. We sell shielding to people who have decided to reduce their own exposure. We are not telling you that you need to, and we would rather say that plainly than sell you something on fear.
